The internet is the prime medium for people to spout all kinds of opinions with nothing to back it up, hell, I’ve been doing it at road junky for years. So when people start talking about the end of traditional print media it’s easy to assume that it’s all a bit blown out of proportion.

That’s what makes The Media is Dying such a cool Twitter account though and demonstrates the many uses of Twitter as solid proof that the face of journalism is being torn down by the internet. We see Tweet after Tweet about journalists losing their jobs and traditional newspapers closing down.

The buzz surrounding Twitter news does more to promote citizen journalism than the traditional news sources and the closures just keep rolling in.

Why does he do all of this?

We like to think he actually gives a shit about the planet though it can’t be ruled out that one day he’ll try again for the presidency. Meanwhile he’s still making a difference and with over 300,000 followers on Twitter he can certainly get the word out there.

Al Gore’s Twitter feed mostly relates to new events on Current TV and ecological reports.
