1. CNN leads the way with 630,000 followers, keeping up to date with the latest propaganda as it’s written.

2. Barack Obama is second with 554,000 Twitterists following even though his feed is almost never updated. Wake up, folks, the election is OVER.

3. Britney Spears may be a dumb bimbo but her PR team are on the case and have garnered her 537,000 followers.

4. Twitter itself has it’s own Twitter feed which doesn’t seem fair somehow – anyone could get 515,000 followers if they OWNED the site.

5. Ashton Kutcher allegedly user the powers of the Kaballah to get 452,000 Twitterists following him.

6. Jimmy Fallon has 424,000 followers on his Twitter feed where he frequently impersonates himself.

7. Leave it to The New York Times to be ahead of the curve and get 398,000 followers on Twitter – they know the newspaper will go bust sometime…

8. Shaquille O’Neal has tweeted his way to 385,000 followers, mainly because he was fed up with someone running a fake Shaq Twitter feed.

9. Lance Armstrong has 360,000 followers as it’s the only way you could keep up with him without a motor car.

10. Al Gore has 361,000 followers but will it be enough to save the world?
