Everyone wants to know how Twitter will make money – will it charge for premium services, sell out to facebook or start plaing garish ads everywhere?

The answer is simple: Twitter search.

Twitter is the future search engine of the internet, results featuring mentions of keywords in Twitter feeds, in essence every Twitterist becoming a search engine bot and using the famous wisdom of crowdsourcing, coming up with search results that real humans find relevant.

Of course in order for Twitter search to really take off it will need a critical mass of Tweets and we’re still quite a long way off that already but it’s already an interesting alternative to traditional search engines. So the next time you want to Google something, try and Twitter it instead.
