Twitter can change your life. Maybe it can even change the world. Maybe it already has.
The social media start up that has everyone asking what is Twitter for? is essentially a place where SMS addicts can text (or in this case Tweet) to their heart’s content, secure in the knowledge that the hundreds or thousands of people who follow them can find out just what they are doing or thinking – even if they are neither doing or thinking anything of importance, which is fairly likely if they spend half their day updating their Twitter feed.
But although the tech pundits of the old media keep gloating that Twitter has no business model and even ask if Twitter has already lost its cool, they fail to understand that Twitter represents where the internet is going. Web 2.0 will come of age with Twitter as everything from user reviews to job hunting to search will be done through the collossal think tank of the Twitter community.
Google made its money through search, why shouldn’t Twitter?
